Lifeworks Studios had the opportunity to shoot for the India Design Exhibition, a project focused on creating films and stills of the work done by India’s leading interior designers and luxury design brands. Our scope of work was to create a complete online portfolio that would serve as a visual showcase for the exhibition.
The exhibition brought together over 20 interior design studios and 26 brands, each presenting a definite approach to design. Our role was to photograph and film their work in a way that highlighted their unique craftsmanship, aesthetics, and attention to detail.
We worked closely with well-known names such as Hands Carpets, Aadyam, Arnaya by Gauri Khan, Nivasa, Beyond Designs, Scavolini, Etreluxe and many others. Each brand had a different design identity, and we represented that identity visually for their digital presentation with films and stills. From detailed shots to wide-angle photographs capturing layout and ambiance, we focused on clarity, composition, and accurate representation of each space and objects.
This project required careful planning and execution. Since the work was to be displayed as an online exhibition, consistency in lighting, framing, and styling was essential. We approached each shoot with a focus on clean visuals and minimal distraction, letting the design speak for itself.
The India Design Exhibition gave us a chance to work across a wide variety of design philosophies and product types, ranging from textiles and furniture to curated decor and architectural elements. It was a collaborative process with each brand team, ensuring we understood the story behind every product and translated that visually.
